Elyssa and Matt
For Matt, who grew up in arcades run by his father and grandfather, it was a natural choice. We saw a need in West Seattle for more family, teen, and kid friendly activities, and Matt had the experience and support to make it happen.
For Elyssa, who loved working in a small, family run shop for years, running our own family business is a dream come true. Being able to create something unique and special in our community is such an exciting and gratifying opportunity.
The arcade Experience
Our vision for West Seattle Arcade is to bring people to Alki year round, make a safe space for everyone in our community to have fun, and give families exciting and affordable options for spending quality time together.
We hand pick every game that we bring into the space with care, to appeal to a vast range of interests and levels of player. We do all the maintenance on the machines ourselves, so that we can keep our arcade in top shape. And we work hard to help everyone that comes through our door feel welcome, and leave happy!
Giving Back
It is important to us to find ways to give back to a community that has welcomed our business with such enthusiasm. We use sustainable and compostable materials in our cleaning and supplies whenever possible. We donate regularly to local schools and charities. We are working with local shelters to offer opportunities to children experiencing homelessness.
We also offer job training and work opportunities to young adults with disabilities.
